SSLC BOARD EXAMINATION SERVICE IN THE PANDEMIC

The coronavirus pandemic had in turn laid a profound negative impact on the educational system by paralysing its physical operations, which in turn had the potential of restructuring the future of the students. Hence, the Education Department of the Government of Karnataka had pledged to conduct physical examinations for students with adherence to all the standard operating procedures pertaining the pandemic. The motivation was primarily was to ensure benefaction of the students and society.
The project was implemented at Sri Kumaran Children’s Home located in Basavangudi, Bengaluru. The school was facilitating the conduction of SSLC examinations in the region. The project was implemented through collaboration of the Education Department, Government of Karnataka and The Bharat Scouts and Guides, Karnataka. The scouts were actively deployed and were to ensure effective enforcement of the standard operating procedures pertaining the pandemic during the course of the examinations.
The project has influenced and laid a long lasting impact on the future of the students while ensuring that they were well protected against the pandemic despite being physically present at the examination centre. The effective implementation of the standard operating procedures ensured that no student was infected and were in an environment conducive to robust health. The project has helped revive the educational system and the examinations approach in regard to the strenuous pandemic.
The project learnings can be associated with the understanding and active implementation of the standard operating procedures pertaining the pandemic. It additionally imbibed the skills of team work, active volunteering, enhanced communication, improved interaction to name a few. The project showcased the method to serve the society in the time of a unprecedented medical crisis while adhering to a undeviated precautionary and highly equipped service approach.
