Sow the Future: A Tree Planting Initiative
Promoting Environmental Preservation through Tree Planting: Addressing the Scarcity of Trees and Enhancing Environmental Aesthetics. Trees play a pivotal role in safeguarding lives and property by mitigating soil erosion, averting floods, and buffering against storm surges, besides augmenting the natural allure of our surroundings.
On the occasion of the 48th commemoration of the martyrdom of the Father of the Nation, Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman, observed on National Mourning Day, a tree-planting event was organized as part of the anniversary activities. Rover and Scout members diligently planted neem, mahogany, and jhow trees along the roadsides throughout the day.
Roadside tree planting enhances both landscape and safety by curbing erosion and incorporating neem trees. Collaboration fosters efficient task completion, affirming that nature-friendly actions bolster personal well-being, illustrating the symbiotic link between environmental care and individual prosperity.
