The Social Advantages of Tree Planting

Urbanization has cut people off from their roots, people were engrossed in modern conveniences and lost in nature. Growing rows of trees and establishing green spaces and parks within short distances in towns and cities provide an easy place for people to socialize. These also provide a safe environment for children to play and socialize. As a result, these provide opportunities to participate in a variety of recreational activities.

The event took place at Eco Park, Barangay Pagas, Cabanatuan City, Nueva Ecija, Philippines. Together with the Reserve Philippines Army and the 17th Infantry Division 1k Operation. With the project chair, CSNB Alvin P. Razon, AFP-RESCOM. Over one hundred tree seedlings were planted during the tree planting event, giving us the opportunity to engage in a variety of recreational activities.

Tree planting entails more than just digging holes and scattering seeds. Consistent efforts are required to assist the plan in surviving and thriving over time. With so much stress in the world these days, we all seek out things that give us pleasure and lift our spirits. Trees are also known for their healing properties, and those who live nearby can enjoy a healthy environment. Many of the social advantages of planting trees are also economic benefits.
For so long, we have done nothing but take from nature. It is past time that we returned to the earth, and there is no better time than the present to do a good deed and return to a clean, green, and beautiful place to live. After all, future generations must inherit the earth in the same, if not better, a condition in which we left it. We owe it to them to make the world a healthier, happier, and more secure place to live.
