Sri Lanka Scout Association launched a COVID19 related Service Initiative titled ‘Sri Lanka Scouts Care’ where essential goods would be donated to needy Scouts and Leaders in 10 districts in the country using the funds allocated by WOSM. The goods to be distributed in 10 outstation districts were packed at the Colombo Scout HQ Tuesday, 19th May 2020 from 10.00 a.m. onwards. Rovers and Rover Scout Masters of Colombo District helped the National Headquarters in packing these goods on Tuesday. Given the current situation in the country, I was glad to be part of this pandemic relief programme orgainzed by tge Sri Lanka Scout Association and privilege to gain experience in this worthy cause. The packages were handed over to all 10 Districts by Chief Commissioner and Duputy Chief Commissioner during the next day. 500 Package of Daily Essentials were packed and distributed on this worthy cause. It was a fruitful day to hang around with Rovers and work as a team to serve the needy scout families.
