Skills for life_phase 1
Organizing something special for Scouts in Croatia and beyond, enable them to enjoy, spend quality leisure time and gain some new skills for life. Additionally we organized a special festival "Skills for life" where we had the opportunity to include other children and youth and citizens to join our program and see all the benefits of scouting.
Our project was implemented in County Lovinac. We had a partnership agreement with County and an excellent cooperation in logistical preparation. Also, we had establish partnership with numerous organizations, institutions and companies. We organized a 9 day Jamboree with more than 100 activities divided into 9 Centers of Knowledge's and a Festival "Skills for life". In preparing and implementing we had help of more than 100 volunteers. jamboree was a huge event for local communities also.
Number of beneficiaries is high due to large number of media presents and cooperation with local communities, other organizations, companies, public institutions and other. We estimated that more than 15000 people had direct impact from our activities. Through all the Jamboree residence of Lovinac where involved and where participating in some way. Lots of media publication where published and Croatia was full of scouts news through that period of time.
It is worth it. Kids smiles says it all. Even do organizing such a big event is pretty difficult and hard and on the way you have a lot of milestones to cross it at the end it is all worth it. It is difficult to write what would we do better because we are very pleased with this project. If you would ask the children and youth they will probably say to last longer.
