Why did I choose invasive species as the theme? The main reason is that many invasive species live all around us without our knowledge. Therefore, we designed a three-part game to educate the public and help them identify those animals that are so close to us and permeate our lives—actually invasive species.
The first level is "Ecological Match-3," a card game where you learn about the habitat of each animal. The second level is "Who Lives Here?", a game where you find the animals' homes. You learn about the habitat of each animal. The third level is "Ecological Heart Attack," a game similar to a heart attack. You need to identify whether an animal is native or an introduced species.
In this event, I served as both the organizer and the person in charge of the “Ecological Heart” checkpoint, which introduced invasive species to the public. Although I chose mostly common species, the public’s responses surprised me, especially their unfamiliarity with Bidens pilosa. This experience highlighted the importance of ecological conservation volunteers.
