Shonan Beach Clean 2019 (Japan)

On August 25, the Hiratuka Group 6 participated in a special beautification campaign organized by an organization called "Association for Cleaning Shonan Beach" and conducted volunteer cleaning service of Shonan Beach with other local community groups.

 

The event is led by Boy Scouts and Girl Scouts from the neighbor cities of Fujisawa, Chigasaki, Hiratsuka, Oiso, and Ninomiya. This event is also supported by the Kanagawa Coastal Environment Foundation and the Fujisawa Tourism Association, of local community organization.

 

Currently, the chairperson of the Hiratsuka Group 6 is also the chairperson of this event sponsoring organization. In addition to this cleaning service activity, we have distributed garbage bags which is made from vegetable material, and wet tissues to tourists, and calls for "Let's take the garbage home," as a promotion campaign, on July 15 of the "Marine Day" (The third Monday in July is a national holiday).
