My patrol is selected for Keep Singapore Clean VIA Project. In collaboration with Public Hygiene Council and National Hygiene Council, we will be "Keep Singapore Clean" ambassadors. First, we went around the hawker centre to engage patrons to return their tray and utensils to the tray return point with the flyer we designed in the morning. It is a great experience to spread the tray return message since it is tiring for the cleaner to do this in their old age. Next, we went for area cleaning which is near the hawker centre. We are told to pick up any litter on the floor so that everyone could live in an clean environment. We are also given 2 trash bags. One is for recyclables and the other is for non-recyclables. After an hour of cleaning, I felt exhausted since I need to squat down many times to pick the litter. Now, I really appreciate the cleaners who are helping us to keep the area clean. It is a tough job!
