SFAS Community Action, Silay City

Members of St. Francis of Assisi School of Silay City Scouts initiated their first environment action at an adopted community in Takas, Hacienda Tinihaban, Silay, Negros Occidental Philippines. On July 15, 2017, during an institutional camp, Rover Scouts of Circle 05, Senior Scouts of Outfit 748, and Troop 39, joined together to produce 120 seedlings of Mahogany tree in preparation for a tree planting program this year. The team was led by their Scout Coordinator Sir Chris Bactong, together with Troop Leader Sir Romnick Sadio and Rover Peer Sir Mark Belleza, muster all the scouts to produce more than 100 seedlings of mahogany tree.
