Sewing for Australian wildlife

Words from Scout Charlotte: The aim of my activity was to have a small group of Scouts sew pouches needed for injured wildlife because of the bushfires in Australia, and maybe make some chew toy ropes for dogs in care. There were a total of 4 scouts and 1 cub involved with the activity, which was conducted remotely, because of concerns surrounding COVID-19. In terms of hours, I estimated a minimum of 50 hours have been spent on this task, and the work is continuing. Scouts are still making pouches and rope chew toys, which will be delivered at the end of the holidays to the RSPCA and a local Wildlife organisation.
