Service At Phaduna
Hundreds of our Brothers and Sisters from southern part of the country were doing with online studies for months because of the Frequent lockdown imposed. Learning was difficult for many did not owned required facilities and also online learning was first time. They were going to be placed to Phaduna, Punakha for effective face to face learning since the place has a newly constructed school. Therefore in order to welcome and make them feel like home, we volunteered to take up this project.
We started moving from our college at 8 am towards Phaduna. It was almost half an hour journey on bus. We were greeted by volunteers from other schools and allocated the works right after. We were engaged in transporting the beds to each room, fixing and arranging it and taking the leftovers to attic. When Boys were engaged in unloading things from trucks, girls were in cleaning (washing) other rooms.
Our small service would benefit about 900 students who will be studying in the new school for the rest of the term. After a long tiring journey from south, they need not have to worry about their accommodations as everything is arranged.
Personally I derived the maximum satisfaction for I could help people amid the pandemic. Although it was not something great, we at least made someone else life easy especially our brothers and sisters. It is not necessary to do bigger projects to inspire people, with right team mates, everything you do will go as planned. I am grateful to all the 39 volunteers who actively engaged in it without a complain.
