Service to the Devotees during MahaShivaratri

We the Indians observe many festivals and 'service' is always in the background. One such occasion is "MahaShivaratri" dedicated to Lord Shiva. Keeping in view to the large crowd gathering, like all other years Odisha State Bharat Scouts & Guides conducted service camp at three famous temples. (Lingaraj Temple, Rama Mandir, Sudhanidhiswar Temple)

159 Numbers of Rovers & Rangers were called for the service Camp. They reported on the 07th of March and cleaned the premises. The next day morning the service team was being led to different temples as per the allotment. They were divided into groups and allotted different duties as distribution of water, water sprinkling, carrying the sick persons, maintaining the cleanliness of the temple premises, keeping discipline etc. The next day the team was engaged in cleaning the surroundings.

Following all these reasons it is being learned that this type of service camp should always be conducted. There should be an administration for all kinds of volunteerism.
