*Mega Swachta drive held in Ganderbal; Scouts and Guides extend their swachta services* Ganderbal, Sep 25: The district administration held a mega cleanliness drive in Ganderbal which aimed to clean and revive the lost charm of Trout Nallah Duderhama. A joint venture carried out by civil administration, police administration, Municipal Committee and other concerned departments was well assisted by the volunteers of The J&K State Bharat Scouts and Guides, Ganderbal. Around 30 Guides and 7 Scouts along with PRO Shah Aijaz, District Secretary Sheikh Mohammad Shafi and DTC (G) Ms Firdous Shafi pressed in and extended their swachta services. The BSG volunteers cleaned the road stretch along the banks of Trout Nallah by collecting and properly disposing off hazardous plastic and other wastes. Scouts and Guides cleaned the district hospital premises and Mini Secretariat lawn before they departed back to their residential areas. Deputy Commissioner Ganderbal, Dr. Piyush Singla (IAS) and Additional Deputy Commissioner, Syed Shahnawaz Bukhari appreciated JKBSG, Ganderbal volunteers for assisting the Swachta mission being carried out by the district administration, Ganderbal.
