Senior Scouts that are planning to become King Scouts have to complete their 80km Expedition Hike badge as a rerequisite for their 5 Senior badges. This briefing was held as a pre-training and a building up to the hike on the 12th - 15th August 2016. The briefing covered a host of different skills including estimation, weather reading, first aid and backpacking. Also was briefed was how to stay safe which is very vital as well as map drawing, route planning and even a pre-hike. My station in particular was on safety while hiking and during an outdoor activity which was carried out in a base system to make sure we have smaller group to teach. It was a great opportunity for scouts to learn basics of everything.
