Scouts_Community_Youth_ Making a Smiley Future ;)

Although the past two years have been challenging for everyone - the professional and personal level of every citizen, the people of Croatia have been hit by 2 strong earthquakes, which have further aggravated the already difficult situation. Our inspiration was young people and the local community to whom we wanted to provide support to enable them to participate in activities in which they have previously participated and provide support to the local community after the terrible earthquake.
Project was implemented on a national level. We have organize and implement activities for Scouts from areas hit by an earthquake with an educational note: reforestation activities - designed to include Scouts in active involvement in community life and her well-being, trainings for Scout leaders, implemented multiple Scout program for children and youth (one or more days activities) and organize a big national campaign HAPPYCENTER to collect new toys for children form earthquake hit areas.
We have 1418 Scout and 2000 Non-Scout participants, 790 Scout and 5000 Non-Scout beneficiaries. Our impact is seen on several levels: Young people build their capacities for future active engagement in their local Scout groups; young people socialized, exchanged experiences and examples of good practice through one-day and multi-day activities; encourage young people to volunteer and get involved in activities for the benefit of the local community and local community received support.
When having clear and worked out plan do not be afraid to try to make it happen, when having obstacles and difficulties do not give up we can not calculate all the things we just have to be prepared to accept them and keep going. We can always improve our actions but the main thing is just to act and listen to the needs of our youth and community in general.
