10 Nov 2019 (Sunday) - The first Malaysia National SDGs workshop was conducted at BP House, Jalan Hang Jebat, Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. This workshop is a small step to introduce the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) to scouts especially rovers in Malaysia. In addition, the workshop will help to expose them with the Betterworld Framework and Scouts for SDGs as well as serve as a platform to a more complex decision-making process of integrating the SDGs into other scouting activities and the training scheme.
This workshop focuses on the Scouts for SDGs initiative and the Betterworld Framework to encourage the the participants (i.e. rovers) to organize more projects in the future that will integrate with both forementioned WOSM initiatives. The 25 participants were representatives from a few states all over Malaysia and they will become the first State SDGs Ambassadors.
