Scouts Scarf Day Celebrations!
World Scarf Day was celebrated around the globe by many scouts today, on 1st of August 2018 to mark 111th World Scouts Scarf Day. 1st August commemorates the Brownsea Island's Experimental Camp from 1-8 August, 1907. About 21 boys attended for this weeklong camp at Brownsea Island.
The major intention of the Scout Scarf Day is that all living Scouts needs to wear their Scarf ( Neckerchief)
publicly to make their "Scouting Spirit Alive!
Therefore, we Rehendhi Scouts have planned a small event collaboration with our neighbor scouts from Ghaazee School, Hulhumale. However the plan didn’t work due to the sudden bad weather and have worked with Plan B. All the scouts and leaders wore their Scout Scarf and had a small gathering and photo session during the interval break at Rehendhi School for both the sessions. And Ghaazee School Scouts and Cubs joined together for some information session and sharing the scouts spirit. I was honored to take part in this beautiful sessions and sharing information, promoting scouting amongst youth.
