Scouts providing basic clinical diagnosis and nutritional assesment to over 250 community idividuals..

Scouts from kisii university saw the need of providing basic diagnosis,nutritional assessment and nutritional counselling to the community. The scouts decided to start a medical team to specifically deal with health issues of the community around. The team was led by Ndege Ngere Daudi assisted by Tata Catherine. The team conducted a three day medical camp at Homabay Boyd Secondary School in Homabay County ,Kenya. Having over 250 clients from the local. community,the team did blood pressure level testing,blood sugar testing, nutritional assessment including Body mass index calculation - BMI and nutritional counselling. They also did public awareness on cancer,malnutrition, HIV/AIDS,malaria and common parasites in the community. They also had basic first aid training for all the clients who visited their clinic.
