Scouts Promoting Peaceful Elections in Ghana

The project propels activities, programmes and methods that will promote peace before, during and after the 2012 presidential and parliamentary elections in Ghana. The objectives are; To educate the youth on positive citizenship to avoiding electoral voilence Youth to be agents of change ensuaring that the elections are held peacefully in their local communities and especially in election hot spots constituencies. To promote a combined youth platform for National Development Beneficiaries of the Project Scouts In-School and Out-of-School Youth Youth from other Youth organisations Political parties Parents and Teachers Community members Methods of Implementation Camps Workshops Seminars Community durbars and fora Games and fun activities Traditional social tools (Drama, dance, singing) Media discussions (Radio, TV, Website, Social media) Location of the Project 1.
