SCOUTS FOR LITERACY

As a Scout living in a community where many young people struggle with reading, I was inspired to create a space where they could access books and learn together. Il believe that literacy is the key to opportunity, and I wanted to help others rise through reading.
We started by collecting books from Scout families and local donors. Then, we cleaned and prepared a small space in our community center to serve as the reading corner. Scouts organized reading sessions and invited young people to join. The project was fully led by volunteers and supported by local partners.
We learned that even small actions like sharing books can create big change. Teamwork and community Support were essential. We also discovered that many young people are eager to learn when given the right tools and space.
