SCOUTS IN KENYA CHAMPIONING FOR MENSTRUAL HEALTH EDUCATION FOR THE VULNERABLE GROUPS

Girls from vulnerable communities may lack access to menstrual products. As a result they end up using crude materials to manage menstruation. The materials are  unhygienic, ineffective and uncomfortable. Rover scouts from Nairobi, Kenya came together and held menstrual hygiene trainings to the groups in different regions.

We did trainings on menstrual hygiene, Early pregnancies and HIV/AIDS. We as well took chance to educate the young girls on the covid prevention measures.

Our target group was girls above 10 years and boys as well. The trainings involved both girl and boys scout. the boys brought He for She to action as they took part in supporting the girls in the trainings.
