Scouts Fight Against Corona- An initiative by Bharat Scouts and Guides Himachal Pradesh India.

The Bharat Scouts and Guides Himachal Pradesh has started an initiative named ScoutFightAgainstCorona with the guidelines given by Worthy State Chief Commissioner Dr. Amarjeet Kumar Sharma in his video message delivered to the family of Bharat Scouts and Guides Himachal Pradesh. Objective: To aware people virtually To stop the spread of COVID19 To create a positive atmosphere and To give Scouts, Guides, Rovers and Rangers a platform to compete and develop their skills. Platforms YOUTUBE, ZOOM, FACEBOOK, INSTAGRAM, WHATSAPP Participants 201 Actions: 201+ individual handmade posters on request to stay home. 201×5 photos with digital posters All 201 participants were given task to add 5 different persons to the campaign. 35 exclusive videos were published on YouTube to aware the people about COVID19. Before lockdown, the participating units sensitized the society they live in about precautionary measures for COVID19 by going in between them. Many posters and videos were published on Facebook time to time in accordance with the guidelines given by the Government of India. 30* videos were uploaded in social media regarding the proper utilisation of the time Scout's have due to lockdown. 415 U-Reporters registered. U Report is a joint initiative of UNICEF and BSGINDIA. 200 IGOT volunteers registered for training programme as given by Government of India. Contribution towards Sustainable Development Goals during lockdown by Staying at Home. ZOOM Virtual Meetings were started from 1st April organised daily from 3 to 4 P.M. to connect, discuss, decide and give a platform to young people to compete and involve in order to create a better tomorrow. Highlights: 1.Presentations on COVID19 by participating units 2.Daily guests and key persons 3.Interaction 4.Q&A 5.Platform to develop skills A relaxation time period for young people from their daily routine. Project were closed on 3rd June 2020 in presence of Mr. S. Prassanna Shrivastava, Director Organisational Development World Scout Bureau Asia Pacific Support centre, Mr. Raj Kumar Kaushik, Director Bharat Scouts and Guides India, Dr. Amarjeet Kumar Sharma, Worthy State Chief Commissioner Bharat Scouts and Guides Himachal Pradesh State.
