SCOUTs in cleanliness awareness
Kamala Pur Railway Station is one of the busiest railway stations in Bangladesh. Most trains make stops here for passenger boarding and maintenance. The accumulation of dirt and waste creates barriers that cause water to collect, leading to the breeding of harmful mosquitoes. If the railway tracks at this station are not kept clean, it can lead to inconveniences and accidents.
Our scout team participated in a mission at Kamala Pur Railway Station. We cleaned all types of dirt and waste from the station. We separated non-biodegradable waste from biodegradable waste. Additionally, we specifically set aside all plastic items. By working together, we were able to clean the station.
Through our cleanliness work at Kamala Pur Railway Station, we learned the importance of keeping our surroundings clean. By taking the initiative to clean the railway tracks and platforms, we fulfilled our responsibility to maintain a clean environment, which helped me learn how to carry out my duties properly.
