Scouting that crosses all borders
The Migrants program of the AGSCh promotes activities for the multicultural inclusion of foreign children, youth and adults within the movement, offering recreational activities where the cultures, traditions, colors and flavors of other countries are transmitted.
The project has been implemented since last year (2021) by the national team of the Migrant Program of the AGSCh and during this year 2022 it has been suppressed.
The impact that this project has brought has been significant for all the migrant boys, girls and young people, mostly Venezuelans, who have joined the scouts of Chile, being able to be received in a more harmonious way in the association and also generating spaces for help migrants and refugees communities.
We have learned that many people are being displaced in many countries of the inter-American region due to policies and situations that force families to leave their countries in search of new opportunities. The most affected are the children, since they are not the ones who make this decision but their parents.
Arriving in a different country brings with it many problems which vary depending on the factors and the country where they come from and arrive.
