Scout of the World Award Project -UPSHIFT Bhutan

Reskilling and Upskilling to empower adolescent and youth with 21st century transferable skills that will enable Bhutan harnessing the best human capital in future. The UPSHIFFT Bhutan project is as part of Scout of The World Award initiated in partnership with UNICEF Bhutan. This will help enhancing capacity of adult leaders and support in further strengthening Scouting program in the Bhutan.
The project has been executed in 5 schools in Thimphu in collaboration with Loden Foundation, Youth Development fund and Youth Center Division funded by UNICEF Bhutan. 25 children of age between 13 to 24 years were trained on UPSHIF, a social innovation tool enabling them solve social issues and challenges more creative and innovatively.
The students were from 5 different schools in Thimphu Bhutan and can benefit more than 3000 young people and adult members through their advocacy and awareness action.
Innovative and creative solutions developed through upshift tool exercises and is learner's centric approach enabling children give optimum opportunity to explore, think and learn out side the box.
