SCOUT SCARF DAY - LET'S PROMOTE PEACE

Scout Scarf Day is a very important celebration to all the scouts around the globe. As a scout and a Messenger Of Peace this Day (1st August) inspired me to have my scarf on and show it to my scout group and also the members of the public.
It was done virtually.
This project has impacted us in 3 ways: 1. A Scout Scarf Challenge on Social Media created a awareness on scouts and peace. People got to know about scout scarf day and its importance. 2. It motivated our cubs and other students who are currently at home to show their scout scarf and inspire others. 3. It also gave a platform to our children with special needs. Fiji Scouts has always treasured diversity and this scout scarf day gave our special needs scouts a stage to showcase themselves.
1. Scouts are here to promote peace and unity. this can be done through proper communication and community involvement. The involvement was done online as challenges and normal posts. 2. The program can be improved by involving other governmental and non-governmental organizations.
