SAVE WATER & SANITATION PROGRAMME
The programmes for safety of our earth and safety of natural resources by scouting projects and by Govt of India inspired me to aware the society specially our domestic helpers.
The project was implemented with the help of my scouts and some domestic helper from my locality. We visited the slum area from where most of the ladies work for domestic help. Because most of them are illiterate and don't know about the right usage of natural resources like Water. I delivered lectures about use of Water and SAVE WATER. Food was distributed to them. Pledge was also taken. Hand wash activity was done and sanitation tips were also given.
The impact of this project was very positive and the people of slum area were enlightened about the use of Water and also about the sanitation.Hand wash activity was done. They were aware about the use of WATER and SAVE WATER tips. Food was distributed for their help.
It was a great learning experience. The slum people discussed their problems about water and sanitation. We guided them about the usage of WATER. They were very satisfied to learn new ideas to save water. They took pledge to save water. They also learnt about the sanitation and cleanliness.
