SANITATION DRIVE AT CHURCH PREMISES
We the members of Tinsukia District Association observed that a nearby church in hijuguri was in a very poor condition and required to be cleaned properly. Observing this condition we decided to take action by cleaning the surroundings of the church and maintaining the garden by getting rid of the unwanted grass and dead plants. Our motivation was to be able to contribute in the development of the church and serve our community.
After we decided to take the initiative, we visited the church and took permission from the authorities. We started our sanitation drive around 10:00 am and firstly got rid of all the unwanted grass as well as dead plants. We then started to collect all the waste from the church premises and disposed it off in the nearby dustbin. We also watered the other plants for providing them nourishment to grow properly.
this project we contributed in the development of the church premises and it's natural beauty. By organizing this sanitation drive we ensured that those people who were present in the church (approx 50) and those devotees who will be using the church in the future will be able to attend the church in a clean environment. Apart from advocating for a healthy planet, we were also able to contribute in the development of our community.
Throughout this project we learned that cleanliness is highly required to highlight the beauty of any location. We understood that to promote the creation of a better world and better India we need to take such initiatives and contribute in the development of the community. Such cleanliness and sanitation will help our community to thrive and became a sustainable one.
