Saka Wanabakti Urban Forest Tree Planting

Urban forest canopy is an essential part of a sustainable city. Ideally, a city should have around 30% canopy cover. Therefore, we need to continue pursuing that target, thus increasing the urban life quality

This project coincided with the 42nd anniversary of Saka Wanabakti. Participants gathered at the Palem City Forest for a briefing. They were then divided into several designated planting locations.

Through this project, I learned that the balance between green open space and land used for development is crucial. We need to recognize that coexisting with nature is essential in this modern era. Attention to these aspects remains crucial for realizing sustainable cities well into the future.
