Far out in countryside of Mäntsälä, there is a old man in his 90s, who runs his own museum. He is originally from Karelia that is now part of Russia and he has made a museum of Karelian items and traditions in his home. We decided to support the man in his efforts by organising a special event in his museum, where we invited a Karelian Traditional Singer to perform and also we had the local newspaper join us (they had never been to the museum). Our support was greatly appreciated by the man and the museum received much-needed praise and publicity after the event.
