Rovers: "Helping people! Changing lives."

Rovers from Thimphu City came together this summer for a key service project at "Phajoding", a small monastery nestled up in the mountains, north of Thimphu. The Rovers were involved in many aspects including gardening and cleaning of the surrounding as well as cleaning the toilets of the monastery. The Rover Scouts of Thimphu city took the initiative to organize community service since community service is a big part of Scouting. Our members committed in doing a minimum of 6000 service each year year as part of their membership.. The community service at the Monastery benefited 80 monks who are undergoing meditation and offering prayers for peace and well being of all sentient beings. The Rovers had a mesmerizing experience and were able to bring happiness and peace for the monks.
