Rover Crew provides help for the needy

The 175th Mafeking Rover Crew engaged in well-fare services considering the pandemic situation and since the Kerala state has also gone into 2nd lockdown since 8th May. Food was given a priority and the crew managed to prepare and distribute more than 2000 food packets made at community kitchens to the people in need located at severe pandemic hit localities including the tribal communities, sheltered people at the cities, and also provided a day's meal to the Traffic and State Police Department officers engaged in Covid duties.14 Rovers were a part of the team who worked in divided shifts fully adhering to the Covid protocols. The crew took part in cleaning and disinfecting the District Headquarters. The crew also took part in providing essential services needed for pandemic hit locales including counseling centers, distribution of medicines, blood banks, and emergency blood services for patients in need. The crew managed to help raise awareness about Covid-19 to the affected patients and the people affected from the State imposed lockdown. No one in need was ensured to be left out as the crew had set up a 24x7 Help Desk service.
