ROAD GREENING CAMPAIGN
There was a time when we had a lot of plants on this planet. With the passage of time, the forest is being deforested due to the various needs of the people. If it continues like this, one day this world will face various dangers. That is why we need to plant more trees to save the world from such dangers.
On March 22, 2023, a large-scale tree plantation program was organized by the Natore district administration. The program was auspiciously inaugurated by Mr. Shamim Ahmed, Deputy Commissioner of Natore District Administration. The project involved planting saplings at new road dividers by about 50 Scout volunteers.
Through this project, the people of the project area show respect to the scouts as so many scouts are doing plantation drives at the new road dividers and roadsides. One of the main reasons behind this project was to plant trees to mitigate carbon dioxide emissions from factories, traffic etc. ie excess carbon dioxide in our atmosphere. which the Scouts partake of with joy.
Through this project, we have come to know anew that by planting trees there is peace of mind which cannot be explained. Because after planting many of us do not care for the tree anymore; We have noticed the difference in the problem through this project. Because we have taken care of the trees even after planting which we hope will make the trees grow better. It would be better if this project could be done on a larger scale.
