River Cleanup and Tree Planting Action
In the Pangalengan area, there are many critical lands. Flooding occurs everywhere because there is no place to absorb water on the banks of the river, and it requires the hands of people who care about the environment. Pangalengan Scouts Received an invitation from the Cisangkuy River Care Community Association (PMPS)to Take the initiative to hold river cleaning and greening activities on the banks of the Cisangkuy River Pangalengan to create a green environment.
Thanks to Kwartir Ranting and the Cisangkuy River Care Community Association, this activity was carried out. The Cisangkuy Riverbank Greening Activity in Pangalengan District was attended by more than 1000 people from various elements of Scouts Penggalang, Penegak and Pembina.
This activity creates riverbanks that have sufficient water absorption capacity so that the community benefits from no flooding and fresher and cooler air. In addition, this activity is an implementation of the Code of Conduct, namely the 2nd Scout Principle "Cinta Alam dan Kasih Sayang Sesama Manusia".
