RIO VIVO PROJECT - REPOPULATION OF NATIVE FISH

The Rio Vivo Project (Live River), inspired by the State, aims to preserve the biodiversity of the waters of 16 hydrographic basins in the region, there was a very low number of reproduction of these fish and the Project aims to repopulate our rivers and lakes.
With about 60 packages with 1 kg of lambari, a fish native to the region, a canvas was stretched on the bank of the Iguaçu River for the fish to be released, the scouts of the São José dos Pinhais Scout Group - 250/PR were then responsible for launching the fish in the water while the others with free hands helped holding the tarpaulin, after the action of repopulating the river, the scouts also planted tree seedlings in the park, helping the local biodiversity that was lacking.
The Rio Vivo Project has already reached the mark of 1.76 million native fish released in various regions of Paraná, accompanied by the planting of also native trees on the banks, the project was made to compensate for all those fish taken by fishermen, it also promotes the Environmental education. So far, it is giving great results, it is recovering our basins and giving a new look to Paraná.
We see the importance of maintaining and taking care of the biodiversity of our region, we hope that in the future these children and young people who helped in the realization can repeat the action and thus pass on the learning of the importance of nature and its participation in the food chain.
