Reverence in Action: Beautifying the Lhakhang

Passing by our local Lhakhang and Chortoen, I noticed overgrown weeds encroaching on these sacred grounds, dulling their peaceful sanctity. Driven by the Scouting spirit of community duty and spiritual reverence, I felt compelled to restore the beauty of this sacred space so devotees could gather in pristine environment.
On July 14,2026, I organized and led a dedicated team of eight scouts in a focused five-hour sanitation drive. Together, we systematically cleared tough weeds, invasive roots and litter surrounding the Lhakhang gate and around the perimeter of the Chortoen, ensuring the grounds were left completely immaculate.
This initiative immediately restored the visual and spiritual serenity of the Lhakhang, providing local community members with a cleaner, more uplifting space for worship and reflection. Beyond the physical cleanup, the project fostered teamwork and reinforced a strong sense of civic responsibility and environmental stewardship among the participating youth.
