REV UP! A CCS Cycling Day

Bikers lead the way! Having been locked down for 2 years due to the Covid-19 pandemic, we have noticed that some of our Scouts have not been able to exercise to stay physically fit in their respective homes. So in order to do so, we created a Cycling activity; teaching Scouts how to bike, and at the same time, spreading road safety awareness to our Scouts in order for them to know what to do in the future.

This project was conducted at PIQC School Grounds; located at 62 Kitanlad Street, Quezon City. To implement this project, we asked our Scouts to bring their own bikes or borrow one for this activity.

At the end of the event, a total of 6 Scouts learned how to ride a bike, and most had stated that their knowledge on road safety was refreshed.
I personally had my knowledge regarding road and bike safety refreshed during this event, and I also noticed that by working together, we will be able to help other Scouts in skills they are lacking or wanting to know.
