Relief collection for flood victims in Sylhet

In 2022, there was heavy rainfall towards the end of June. Which is the third highest in the record of 122 years. All the water of India's rainfall entered Sylhet in Bangladesh and washed Sylhet away. Many people of Sylhet become house arrest. They don't get anything to eat, not even safe water. So Rajuk Uttara Model College Scout Group took initiative to help some of the flood affected people in Sylhet.
When the teachers and students of Rajuk Uttara Model College were informed about our initiative, they also expressed interest in our program. Scout members of Rajuk Uttara Model College Scout Group started collecting relief money. On June 23-26, 2022, fundraising for relief efforts continues. 2 temporary booths were set up to collect relief money. In which many parents along with teachers and students also donate money.
About 4 districts of Sylhet were swept away by floods. Although we could not help everyone, it was possible to collect money for the purchase of dry food, purified water, water purification tablets, etc. for about 100 people for 1 week.
No one knows when disaster/accident will occur. And no one knows who is affected by it and where. So we all should help the people affected by disaster as much as possible. Because we can fall into such situations ourselves. And service should be our religion.
