REGIONAL LEVEL YOUTH FORUM - Southern Region

The Bharat Scouts and Guides National Headquarters organized the Regional Level Youth Forum for Southern Region at the State Training Centre, Jeedimetla, Andhra Pradesh from 06th to 10th February 2015. 150 Scouts-Guides and Rovers-Rangers from the Regional States of Southern Regions participated with 09 Unit Leaders. The Youth Forum was inaugurated by Mr. T. R. Ganesh, Faculty, Vivekananda Instt of Human Excellence, Ramakrishna Math, Hyderabad. The State Secretary of Andhra Pradesh State BSG Mr. A. Chandra Selkhar also grace the occasion with other state officials of Bharat Scouts and Guides Andhra Pradesh. The most interesting activity of the Youth Forum was Group Discussion on different topics as Youth Programme, Youth Involvement, Leadership Development, Scouting and Human Rights, Peace Education in Scouting etc. A brain storming discussions were made in discussion by each group and the recommendations of the discussions were brought to Youth Forum represented by 02 members from each group. After a long hard efforts, the recommendation committee finalished the recommendation and presented in the house and submitted to National Headquarters through LOC of the Youth Forum. One of the most interesting competitions was debate with the topic “Scouting Changing Individual and Individuals Changing Scouting” in which Scouts-Guide and Rover-Ranger took part actively and exposed their deep knowledge about in scouting. During the camp, input sessions through PowerPoint Presentation was dealt on subject like Objectives of the Youth Forum, Fundamental of BSG, Mission and Vision of Scouting and Guiding, Vision 2024 of BSG, MOP, FBM etc. also Competition on Drawing and Painting, Essay Writing, Debate, Folk Song and Folk Dance etc. were organised in which all the State shown their keen interest. On 08th February 2015, Advocate Vrushali Reddy, and Dr. M. Uma Devi, Professor, JayashankarTelengana State Agricultural University deliverred speech in respect to the youth on history of Ramakrishna Math, Hyderabad. On 09th February Cleanliness Awareness and Cleanliness drive on the theme “Swachh Bharat – Sundar Bharat” was organized at Rajeev Gruhakalpa, Suraram (near Jeedimetla) with the help of Municipality Corporation, Secunderabad. In the evening of 09.02.2015 participants presented very colourfulProgramme in the Campfire which made the evening a memorable for one and all. A newsletter was released in the evening containing different small big events, stories and news of the camp prepared by the participants. Host State, Andhra Pradesh, BSG presented Memento to all the State contingents and also encouraged the participants by presenting prizes in different discipline of the competitions. On the last day, All Faiths Prayer was conducted followed by Flag Ceremony. Shri AnalendraSarma, Regional Org. Commissioner (S), Southern Region, BSG conducted the Youth Forum ably assisted by Shri G. Prameswar, State Org. Commissioner (S), Smt. S. Uma Devi, State Trg. Commissioner (G), AP, BSG and Shri Eshwar. S, Camp Warden, Jeedimetla and Shri K. K. Venkatramana, Senior Leader Trainer (S) of Tamilnadu State, BSG respectively.
