REGIONAL LEVEL WORKSHOP ON WOSM&WAGGGS INITIATIVES
Since the WOSM and WAGGGS have been taking numerous initiatives globally, all the young people are taking keen interest to take active involvement in most of the initiatives by taking more peace actions at all levels which have been recognizing from different sources at Levels. The Bharat Scouts & Guides is one of the key promoter of such initiatives by reaching out at all levels. Accordingly it was a great influenced for me to take more action to promote such initiatives.
As per the Annual Action Plan 2022-23 of BSG NER, the Workshop on WOSM & WAGGGS Initiatives was included during the National Programme & Training Committee Meet in NHQ, New Delhi. I personally requested to all the officials of NER in the NHQ during NER States Official Meet to fix the venue of this event/Workshop in Sikkim. accordingly all the officials agreed on my request and fix this event to be held in Himalayan Home Khani Khola, Majhitar, Rangpo, Sikkim.
It was a five days Workshop on WOSM & WAGGGS Initiatives organized by The Bharat Scouts & Guides, North Eastern Regional Headquarters, Guwahati, hosted by the Sikkim State.There were altogether 112 Participants from Five different Scouts States of North Eastern Region of BSG, India, staff and Facilitators.
All the participants, were oriented and trained as peer educators on different initiatives conceived by the WOSM and WAGGGS like Better World Frame Work, SDGs, PTTC, FBM, Surf Smarts,etc.
It was a great learning opportunities for me to host such a event being as SOC(S) and as Staff. There were different capabilities and mindset among the Staff and participants. All were really keen to be involved in the different initiatives conceived by the WOSM & WAGGGS but unfortunately they didn't get the opportunity to fetch the first hand information regarding these initiatives. All were able to create the Scout.org ID and U-Report ID and familiarized with the concepts.Really overwhelmed.
