REDUCE, RECYCLE AND REUSE PROJECT
The idea arose with the Tietê scout troop, to carry out research and work in search of more information. I encourage society, the media and businessmen to become supporters of the project. Society's awareness of non-waste.
In ecology week we received around 120 students from two public schools in the city. We present our headquarters, we do a walk and an ecological trail. During this period, we noticed the pleasure and enthusiasm of those involved in the project. Because they knew that we are collaborating for a better world.
According to the Panorama of Solid Waste 2021, Brazil has great potential to increase the level of recycling, several factors keep these rates stagnant, starting with the lack of awareness and consumer engagement in the separation and selective disposal of waste. It is also necessary to highlight the lack of infrastructure in city halls to allow these materials to return to the production cycle, In Brazil only 4% of recyclable materials are processed.
Society's concern for the environment is notorious, but we observe that in practice there is little action. Thinking about improvements, we had the idea of mobilizing citizens, schools and merchants. Together we carried out the awareness campaign on material recycling for 7 months. The work began with the Scout families themselves, neighbors and friends.
