The Transportation Coordinator and the team from Temburong District Scout Association PPNBD is appoint a full-time to perform the Safe from Harm is a set of actions designed to make sure that every person involved in Scouting is responsible and committed to protect children and young people inside or outside the Movement, so everyone can feel safe, at any time. The Team is responsibilities to provide the safety implement, the protection, the information programme details including the updated safety & health plan for 1st ASEAN Rover Moot. Looking to the experience nature’s wonders and looking to escape the hustle and bustle of the city, Temburong District has something to offer the participants with spending a day experiencing the hidden gems of Brunei’s rainforests. To keep an eye out for wildlife that frequent the edges of lush mangroves as you travel by Speedboat ride from Bandar Seri Begawan to Temburong District (45 minutes journey) started on 12th December 2018 to 14th December 2018.

 

The handling of the out-reach concept in the 1st ASEAN Rover Moot was smooth sailing, with the Rover Scouts facing every challenge in their assigned activities with great perseverance and enthusiasm. In terms of cultural and art activities, the participants including the APR Chairman of Young Adult Member Group Mr.Lim Wei Yung from the Singapore Scouts Association were tasked with studying the traditions of the local ethnic tribes according to their appointed districts. The participants learnt about the customs, dances and music of the Murut tribe in the Temburong District and also engaged in Kayak, Abseiling, Hiking, Rafting activities at Outward Bound Brunei Darussalam (OBBD) including participated in an emergency preparedness activity involving a Flood Drill in the middle of the night.

 

The Transportation Coordinator and the team was well-organised, with a wide range of activities for their contingent and was interesting to understand and experience Brunei’s culture, dances and music fpr definitely an eye opener. Area such Bangar Town Terminal Jetty, Tugu Peringatan, Tamu Aneka Temburong, Komplek Utama Bumiputera, Arca Gemilang 60, the Ulu Temburong National Park and the long boat called Temuai.
