Rebuilding Scout organ. and helping community
Necessity to rebuild the capacities of Scout groups in areas hit by earthquakes and provide emergency help to local Scout groups. Additionally to provide help within the local communities hit by earthquake through our "Happy center" campaign.
So fare we have managed to:
- prepare the toys for distribution to children in areas hit by earthquake
- have several educational activities for scout leaders from areas hit by earthquake
- done 4800 volunteering hours
- establish cooperation with local government and local organization for realization of a children's playroom in 2 containers adapted for the needs of a children's playroom
Impact of the project will be visible on several levels:
- capacity building of local Scout leaders and their local Scout groups
- their bigger involvement into the community life
- help provided to local community hit by earthquake with the emphasis on children and youth
- included altogether more than 400 Scouts and more than 5000 beneficiaries of the project activities
- done more than 5000 volunteering hours
Learnings from this project:
- good and quality preparation of all activities
- the importance of monitoring all implemented activities
- taking into account the "new normal" related to COVID-19 measures
- include different partners, NGO's or local community into your project
