Re-energising Scouting in Bulgaria

After the Covid-19 our NSO needed to re-energise and to start growing again. We needed more volunteers to reach to more children and young people in the country. Also we recognized a serious problem in our society - the aggression amongst young people and bullying. We knew that the Scout movement had a different morale and values to offer to the young people and we tried to show it through the advocacy campaign that we've started.
We've created a new training framework for new volunteers who wanted to join the Scout movement as scout leaders. The trainings were interactive and gave the participants the knowledge and the motivation to become successful scout leaders. The advocacy campaign was a great success as we've created a really touching video that shows the essentials of the Scout movement and its values. The video can be seen on our Facebook page or on our Youtube channel.
The Beneficiaries of this project are at least 5000 children and young people in the country. We were able to bring the Scouting to them and to show them the values of our movement. The advocacy campaign against the aggression and bullying reached more than 100 000 people just in the first month and probably will reach much more in the upcoming months.
We've learned that sometimes you can multiply the good outcomes with good strategy and much planning. But you still can't plan everything.
