Re-energising Scouting in Bulgaria
We believe that Scouting is a great power and a possibility for the young people to change the world that we are living in for the better. By bringing the ideas of Scouting to more young people in our country and introducing them to quality Scout activities we are going to achieve our goals and they will be inspired to make a positive change in our society. The way to that is by having enough motivated adults who can "spread the word"
Our project took place in some of the biggest cities in Bulgaria - the capital Sofia, Varna, Stara Zagora, Plovdiv, Shumen and others. We prepared a great training team who spreads the word and teaches other great adults to the paths of Scouting.
The goal is touch at least 2500 young people and to introduce them to ideals of Scouting. In general more than 5000 people will be affected. This will make a great deal in our society as more and more the young people are laking some of the great values which Scouting teaches - empathy, care for the environement and kindness to others.
We have learned a lot conducting the project. It is extremely hard to make people volunteer in our society. We found different ways to motivate them to do so. The best one is by positive attitude and by showing them all the great outcomes and how Scouting is changing the world that we live in for the better.
