The Rashtrapati Guide Testing Camp of Eastern Region was conducted at State Training Centre, Ganganagar, West Bengal from 10th to 14th December, 2013. 73 Guides are participated from five states of Eastern Region namely Eastern Rly.-14, Odisha-3, Jharkhand-14, South Eastern Rly.-22 and West Bengal-20 along with 7 Unit Leaders from states. The Testing camp was started on 10th December with Registration, Flag Ceremony followed by Integration session. Subjects of Pravesh test started in the evening. As per new Guideline written test was conducted on 2nd Day ie. 11th December morning. Practical, Oral and written test was conducted as per syllabus and guideline for each test. Mapping, Pioneering, Camping, Ambulance man practical test were completed on second day afternoon. Checking of log book of various project works, proficiency badges, Hike etc. completed in time. The Guides were prepared Shelter, movable Flag Pole etc. During testing camp Mrs. Sanghamitra Chatterjee, SOC (G), West Bengal visited the camp. On 13th December evening Grand Campfire was organized where the participants were presented colourful programme. Mrs. Kumud Mehra ROC (G) of North Eastern Region was Leader of the Camp ably assisted by Ms. Mira Dey, LT (G) as Chief Examiner, Mrs.Laily Ghosh Basu, LT (G), Ms. Mira Biswas, LT (G), Ms. Asraf Zamali, ALT (G) as Tabulator and Mrs. Lily Grace Tigga, Pre ALT (G). Mr. Aroop Sarkar, Asst. Director, Northern Region coordinates the camp. On 14th December morning All Faith Prayer was conducted. After completing the closing formalities, lowering of BSG flag and singing of National Anthem the camp was declared closed. The Testing camp was conducted impartially and as per Guideline of the National Headquarters. Testy and delicious food was supplied by host state as per test of the participants. The accommodation and physical arrangement was also good.
