Protecting Marine Ecosystem:CLEAN BEACH BLUE OCEAN
As part of my Rover Scout journey start began, "Protecting Marine Ecosystem: CLEAN BEACH BLUE OCEAN" awareness campaign and clean-up at Patenga Sea Beach in Chittagong.
Managed by The "Daffodil International University Air Rover Scout Group," 80 Rover members arrived at the beach and found it covered in garbage. Without hesitation, we began cleaning. To make it more exciting, we held a competition among the Rover Scout teams to see who could collect the most waste. The team that gathered the most plastic and garbage won. Gloves and bin bags were distributed, and everyone worked diligently, filling bags and placing them at collection points.
This initiative is expected to benefit over 500,000 people. A cleaner environment will make the beach more attractive to tourists, and local residents will enjoy a beautiful ocean view and refreshing atmosphere, free of single-use plastics. By removing litter, hazardous waste, and pollutants, this clean-up plays a vital role in reducing pollution’s harmful effects on the environment and human health, helping restore ecosystems and improving air, water, and soil quality.
