Project Kinabulusan

Project Kinabulusan is the Scouts of the World Award service project of Chiang Kai Shek Scout's Environment team composed of Rover and Senior Scouts, which aims to produce "Mabuhay Balls or Bokashi Balls" to be thrown in to Estero de Kabulusan in Tondo, Manila. These Mabuhay balls contains good microorganisms which will help improve and clean the water quality that flows in the Estero/Canal. This project involves generating funds to buy the raw materials needed to produce the mabuhay balls and with the help of the 185 scouts of Chiang Kai Shek College in Manila, Philippines, The scouts was able to produce more than 3,000 mabuhay balls and throw these in Estero de Kabulusan in a span of 5 months. On top of these, the scouts also donated reminder posters to the community leaders to be posted along the vicinity of the Estero/Canal to remind them no to throw trash along the body of water.
