A Project to join forces for World Environment day with UNEP

Celebrated on 5 June since 1972, World Environment Day is one of the principal vehicles through which the UN stimulates worldwide awareness of the environment and encourages World attention and action. Just like we are promoting Peace as Messengers where environment is one of the main pillers   The Mission of WED is to raise awareness about environmental observances and encourage voluntary community education and activity relative to protecting the planet. This year the theme is wasted food And we say Scout is thrifty The WED is know preparing to fight against foodwaste by all means. We are making thousends of Peace Project on environment theme and posting some of them n Messengers of Peace net. Now we can also post them on world environment day web page  and show to the world  that we are really Messengers of Peace  in every action to make this world better. It is run by the United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP).It was the day that United Nations Conference on the Human Environment began. The United Nations Conference on the Human Environment was from 5–16 June 1972. It was established by the United Nations General Assembly in 1972. The first World Environment Day was in 1973. World Environment Day is hosted every year by a different city with a different theme and is commemorated with an international exposition in the week of 5 June.
