PROJECT HOPE H=Helping O=Out P=People E=Everyday “Kindness cannot be quarantined”

PROJECT HOPE H=Helping O=Out P=People E=Everyday “Kindness cannot be quarantined” Project Description: Show gratitude: to the people who have been working selflessly during the pandemic. Be it your milkman, security guard, waste picker, newspaper man, policemen etc. Show them that you are grateful to them by leaving thank you notes with GIFT BOX for them. Serving them tea (if they are comfortable), or offering any other type of help which their family may need. Aim of this Project: The year 2020 may feel like a never-ending stream of difficult-to-read-tragedies, but we are going through it together. We might have seen a staggered start to the year, but we are halfway through it because we are helping each other. With still half a year left, Project HOPE aims to instill positive to turn things around for this year. As the name suggests, the Project aspires to encourage Scouts to undertake deeds of kindness to help people around them, who have suffered the most in these testing times. Mother Teresa once said “It's not about how much you do, but what you do and how much love you put into it, that counts”. We are privileged to have enough facilities and a good state of health, but many are not. And through this project, we would be sharing some of this privilege with others, to turn their sorrows, misery and sufferings into joy, gratitude, smile and faith. Whether it’s a small gesture or a big one, every little kindness could go a long way because showing kindness gives value to others. What to do: Step One: Make minimum two gift box Containing at least 100 TAKA products with thank you letter and a piece of flower. Step Two: Take photos with the person whom you are providing the gift box. Deadline: July 01 to July 2020 to 15 july 2020 Keeping in your mind: 1. Keeping yourself and your family safe first should be your priority. The activities can be done staying at home or within the boundaries of your society. Take all alertness you have to. You can help others only when you help yourself first. 2. Go beyond Scout to determine your target audience. Be very clear on who are your beneficiaries. 3. Involve your new Scout members too.
